Guntur, March 20: Eleven people, including three women, were killed and 30 others injured when the bus they were travelling in collided with a truck at Yanamadala village on NH-5 here this evening, police said.
The incident occurred when the truck driver lost control over the vehicle after one of its tyres burst, resulting in a collision with the state-owned bus, killing eight persons on the spot, they said.
The injured were admitted to various hospitals in the district where three of them succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment, they said.
A case has been registered against the truck-driver and further investigations are on, the police said.
