Telangana State Road Transport Authority officials on Friday conducted inspection of vehicles at Gaganpahad under Rajendranagar limits on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru National Highway and have registered cases against 10 private travel buses for plying in violation of the rules.
It is learnt that though the RTA officials were checking vehicles from time to time and registering cases for severe violations, the private travel bus operators remained careless and plying the buses with drivers sans licences and without proper documents. On the direction of the RTA Commissioner, the officials conducted vehicle inspection drive at LB Nagar. They stopped some 100 buses there and inspected them. They seized 11 buses for not possessing proper documents. Fines were imposed on the vehicles owners for failing to pay vehicle tax. (NSS)
