10th Krackerjack Karnival concludes on a high note

New Delhi [India]: It finally happened! The opening day of the 10th Krackerjack Karnival was an astounding success as all routes were leading to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday, December 10, 2016.

The opening day of the event wasdistributed between two main performance arenas numbered stage 1 and 2, the event line-up was choc-a-bloc from the very beginning. The Karnival got off to a great start with a meet and greet session with the immensely popular, laddoo-chomping and evil bashing Chhota Bheem and his friends. As the excitement levels were sky high as children went berserk meeting their favourite characters live. The meet and greet continued with other popular, entertaining and quirky cartoon characters such as Sonic’s Shiva, Chotu and Doggy Don, Disney Channel presents Gaju Bhai and Arjun and Cosplay action with the renowned superheroes – Ironman and Hulkbuster.

The second day of the event witnessed a thrilling line up of music and dance performances; fun rides; crazy contest and meet and greet sessions with some of the most popular cartoon characters. The day kick started with meet and greet session with the boy wonder from Dholakpur – Chhota Bheem and his friends, who have proved to be the children’s favorites on the first day as well. Shiva, Chhotu, Gaju bhai and Arjun added further excitement at the event.

Coming to the activities, this edition presented children and their parents with a plethora of interesting happenings to choose from. Funstation, which deals with making Lego, India’s hobby shack teaching various skills such as paper plane making, parachute making, wooden plane making etc.; Becre8v dealing with various forms of robotics; Jewellery making and door hangings design by Shweta Gupta are some of the many skills which the visitors learned at the 10th Krackerjack Karnival.

Bubbles Sabharwal and Lushin Dubey, theatre stalwarts and doyens of the children theatre group Kids World, bought the magic of the stage to the children with their production of Piyush Mishra’s play Jungle Book Se Aage- a satirical take by the eminent actor, writer and lyricist on the classic story by Rudyard Kipling.

Commenting on the 1st day of the event, Divya Bhalla, parent of three and a housemaker said, “Krackerjack Karnival is one of the most awaited events in our calendar as a place to go together with family. Having attended the previous two editions as well, I can vouch for the fact that it is an amazing show that offers an experience unlike something we have ever seen before. Krackerjack Karnival not only provides holistic and wholesome entertainment for kids and family, it also offers us a one stop shop for important products, services and information ranging from maintaining kids health to assistance during the approaching admissions season all under one roof.”

Another visitor, Manninder Singh, corporate professional was seen shopping enthusiastically from the array of exhibits with his 4 year old son on his shoulder. He shared, “Being my first time here, it feels great to have an event dedicated especially to children and families, right in the middle of the capital. An event of this magnitude and diversity, Krackerjack can help enlighten the minds of not only children, but also adults who get to enjoy the various outdoor experiences.” (ANI)
