State Government is committed to protect law and order in twin cities, Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao said. As many as 10,000 CC cameras will be put up for persistent surveillance to enable police department to protect law and order, he said.
Inaugurating 77 Community CC Cameras at Chandanagar Police station area, the minister said that they will provide complete protection to the people residing in the state capital. As part of transforming Hyderabad into a global city, they are equipping the police wing with latest technologies and gadgets, he remarked. Metro Rail will be expanded to outskirts people, he said adding that Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced to set up their big center in the city. He found fault with the previous government for ignoring Hyderabad development. Telangana government disproved the criticism of some political parties that the statehood will plunge the state into darkness by taking all measures, KTR said.
The Government, he said, is going ahead with a vision of Global City and making sure that everything is put in place on time including infrastructure and facilities. Since protection is crucial for development the government initiated steps to ensure that about one crore people living in the twin cities make a happy and peaceful living, he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is planning to construct 36 model markets in the city. The government will quench the thirst of the people by constructing two reservoirs of 30 tmc capacity each, he said.(NSS)
