1031 held for ticketless, irregular, unbooked luggage travel in train during fortress check

Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway conducted a fortress check against ticketless and irregular travel at Secunderabad station on 25th July, 2014. The Check was conducted under the direct supervision of Shri B.Vijay Bhaskar, Chief Commercial Manager / Passenger Marketing, South Central Railway, Shri P. Ravi Padi, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Secunderabad Division, SCR.

140 Ticket checking staff along with personnel carried out the drive and checked the tickets of each passenger. During the fortress check, all the exit points at Secunderabad Railway station were plugged to prevent ticketless travellers escaping from the fortress check.

A total of 1031 persons, comprising of 474 persons travelling without ticket, 423 persons travelling irregularly and 134 cases of un-booked luggage were apprehended. An amount of Rs. 4, 68, 900 was realised towards penalty from these persons. (INN)
