Mayor Majid Hussain has appealed to the citizens of the twin cities to lend wholehearted cooperation to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation in the construction of 10,000 “Water Absorption Pits” at an estimated cost of Rs 6 crores this year.
The Mayor was speaking at a Water Absorption Pits awareness program held in the Mokshagundam Visveswaraiah Bhavan at Khairatabad. Deputy Mayor Raj Kumar and a large number of GHMC officials were present.
Stating that orders have been given to the GHMC officials to execute the work of construction of pits, the Mayor suggested to the citizens to approach the officials if they have any doubts on the program. (NSS)
