On the occasion of International Mothers Day, 1,000 children will be given free training in handwriting in the name of “Raatha Saayam” at Jawahar Bal Bhavan on February 21 in the afternoon, said National Handwriting Academy director Y. Mallikarjuna Rao here on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media here, Mallikarjuna Rao, along with coordinator magician Chokkapu Venkata Ramana, said they have taken up the program with an intention to revive process of handwriting process which was on the verge of extinction in the modern world.
They also said they would bring about awareness among the children about the importance of handwriting. They said some 1,000 children from over 50 schools in the twin cities will participate in the “Raatha Saayam” program and get benefited.
Official Language Commission chairman Mandali Buddha Prasad, Mind magician Dr B V Pattabhiram and others will be present.
