1,000 ABVP activists join TDP

Hyderabad, October 30: The Hyderabad city would regain its glory only if the TDP was voted to power in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu said today.

Addressing a meeting after admitting around 1,000 ABVP activists into the party, Naidu said the Congress Government had failed to develop the city.

On Chief Minister K Rosaiah’s announcement that Hyderabad would be developed by spending Rs 4,000 crore, Naidu termed it a false assurance.

He alleged that the Congress Government failed to provide jobs in the SEZs and the Fab City remained a non-starter.

He recalled that the IT industry was developed during the TDP regime and a huge employment opportunities were provided to IT professionals. In contrast, Hyderabad became a den for mafia, terrorists and criminals during the fiveyear Congress rule, the former chief minister alleged.

Former mayor Teegala Krishna Reddy was also present at the meeting.
