Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today said that the TRS Government is all set to supply sprinklers with 100 per cent subsidy to SCs and STs in the state. He held a high level review meeting on Agriculture here.
Later talking to reporters the minister stated that they will encourage sprinkler irrigation and farmers will get them on subsidy. ‘We are focusing on promotion of horticulture cultivation in a big way using 44,000 hectares in Telangana and each district will have a target to reach’, the minister said. Farmers will get Soyabean seeds from June 7, he said adding that arrangements have been made to supply seeds and fertilizers through cooperative department.
TRS Government is committed for welfare of SCs, STs, Minorities and BCs besides development of all people. The Government will create awareness among farmers in the state on using equipment with high end technology in agriculture to increase productivity, minister stated.(nss)
