GHMC Special officer Sumesh Kumar said that for the first time GHMC proposes to set up 100 SHE Toilets across the city.
There are no washrooms for women at public places which causing hardship to them. The proposed washrooms will be setup near the railway stations, bus stands.
There were proposals earlier to construct ladies washrooms, but due to non-availability of open lands that could not be finalized.
Somesh Kumar said that the GHMC has decided to construct 100 toilets in government schools and preference would be given to those schools where the strength of the girls is more than that of boys.
