100 phone booths for pilgrims seeking Haj fatwas

Makkah, October 29: One hundred special telephone booths have been set up in the Two Holy Mosques to connect pilgrims seeking information on Haj to Islamic scholars, the General Presidency for Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques said.

“The scholars are available around-the-clock to answer any question on Haj rituals,” said a spokesman for the General Presidency.

Scholars are seated near King Abdul Aziz, Ajaid and Al-Fatah Gates, he added. Pilgrims can also approach them directly.

“Scholars are stationed in prominent areas, so they can easily be approached to ask about Haj rituals and answer any jurisprudential questions,” he said.
The General Presidency has also published more than 1.5 million booklets in several languages to educate pilgrims on Haj rituals, the spokesman added.
