Muzaffarnagar, March 12: A local court has sentenced a person to ten years in prison for abducting and raping a minor girl, besides slapping a fine of Rs 15,000.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ramesh Chander convicted Suleman for abducting and raping a 15-year-old girl in Mubarkpur village of the district, said the prosecution.
Suleman abducted the girl on May 7, 2004 and later raped her. She was rescued after one month of captivity and her medical examination confirmed rape, police said.
