10-year-old boy among three killed in road accidents

In separate cases, three persons, including a 10-year-old boy were killed in road accidents at different places in the city.

In Moinabad police limits, 10-year-old Vinay died on the spot when the bi-cycle he was riding was hit by a DCM van on Monday morning. The boy met with the accident near his residence in Chilkur. Police have registered a case of negligent driving against the DCM driver, according to Sub-Inspector G Sanjeev.

In another case, 50-year-old B Yadagiri sustained grievous injuries when the auto-rickshaw he was riding was hit by another auto near Al-Saba Hotel in Vijaya Nagar Colony on Monday morning. He was immediately rushed to the Osmania General Hospital where he died a few hours after admission. He was a resident of NBT Nagar near Banjara Hills, according to Sub-Inspector Yadagiri Rao.

In a different case, an unidentified man succumbed to the injuries which he suffered on February 7 after he was hit and run by an unidentified vehicle near APR Garden in Champapet. He was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where he died on Sunday night. The deceased was aged about 45 years. The Saroornagar police have preserved the body at the OGH mortuary for post-mortem and identification. (INN)
