The State government today issued a GO merging surrounding 10 villages into the Mahbubnagar municipality.
According to the GO, ten gram panchayats — Bandameedipally, Doddalonipally, Timmasanipally, Palakonda, Christianpally, Chinadarpall, Yenugonda, Appanapally, Boyapally and Yedira — were brought under the jurisdiction of Mahbubnagar Municipality.
The Director of Municipal Administration also the Municipal Commissioner of Mahabubnagar said that the Municipality had published the proposal to include the ten surrounding villages into the Mahbubnagar Municipality in local newspapers and affixed the notification on the notice board in his office on March 22, 2012 and other public places seeking views of public in this regard. However, no written objections and suggestions were received regarding inclusion of these villages into Mahbubnagar Municipal limits within the stipulated time.
However, the residents of Yedira and Chinnadarpally had submitted objections for inclusion of gram panchayats into the Mahbubnagar Municipality as they could not pay tax and building permission fee which will be levied by the Mahbubnagar Municipality if these villages were merged into it.
Further, the residents of Yedira gram panchayat have stated that they have no objection over the proposal. The Special Officer, Mahbubnagar Municipal Council, vide C.R.No. 01/2012, dated April 4.2012 accepted the proposal for inclusion of these gram panchayats into the limits of Mahbubnagar Municipality, since no views/objections were received from the public of concerned.
