Andhra Pradesh Minister for Health and Family Welfare K Murali today informed the State Assembly that ten lakh mosquito nets have been procured from Vietnam to supply it to the tribals areas of the state. He told Mr Vijaya Prasad and Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao (both Congress) and Lok Satta Party (LSP) President Dr Jaya Prakash Narayan during Question Hour that the consignment have been kept in warehousing at Visakha Port area and rent was being paid by the Central government. The state government was not paying any demarge charges on the consignment, he said, adding the government has been taking all necessary steps to prevent viral diseases in the state. The distribution of mosquito nets to the tribals have already started, the Minister added. UNI
