Kathmandu, December 14: At least ten people were killed and more three dozen injured in a bus accident near Pokhara, 200 km west of Nepalese capital Kathmandu, today morning.
The accident occured when the bus plying from Kaskikot to Pokhara, the second biggest city of Nepal, skidded off the hilly road and fell down nearly 200 mt, local media quoted police as saying.
The deceased were yet to be identified. Among the injured 24 were undergoing treatment at the Western Zonal Hospital while 12 at the Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara. Others with minor injuries were discharged after treatment.
The real cause of the accident was yet to be ascertained but local media said the bus was overcrowded with people.
