Hyderabad, April 5: A man lost his life due to supply of contaminated water at Chilkalguda Railway head quarters where the water supplied by the water board is said to be highly contaminated. One person has died and 200 have been affected due to contaminated water. They are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.
According to details contaminated water is being supplied in Railway welfare quarters for the past few days. The residents repeatedly complained with the concerned officials but in vain. And the carelessness continued. Consequently a 50 year old man A M Vishwaraj died while undergoing treatment in a hospital.
It is said that Vishwaraj complained of vomiting and diarrhea after drinking contaminated water on April 2. He was admitted to Lalaguda railway hospital where he died on Monday.
Another person named Ratnam (55) affected by contaminated water is said to be undergoing treatment in the same hospital and his condition is said to be critical.
It has been told that 51 people affected by contaminated water have been admitted to Lalaguda railway hospital of which 41 were treated as outpatients, while 150 people were admitted in Gandhi hospital, Nilofer hospital and other private hospitals.
