Hyderabad, February 12: Welcoming the decision to allocate a budget of 1 crore rupees to each corporator, CPI MP Syed Aziz Pasha, in a recent meeting of Municipal board greater Hyderabad, said that the responsibility lies on the high officials of the department to act upon the advice of the ward committee members and spend the budget on the developmental activities.
He said that despite formation of ward committees the laxity of the said officials is unfortunate. He said that ward committee has a major role in the development of the city.
Aziz Pasha advised the elected ward committee members to come forward and rightly use their powers and serve the local people in the real sense.
