CONCLUSION: JOURNEY INTO THE HEREAFTER

Prophet Muhammad, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, related:

“This world is a prison for the believer, but for the disbeliever it is a Paradise. While for the disbeliever, the Hereafter will be a prison, but for the believer, it will be his Paradise.”

Once, in the early period of Islam, a poor Christian happened upon one of the great scholars of Islam, who was at the time mounted upon a fine horse and clad in fine garments. The Christian recited to the well-to-do Muslim the hadeeth quoted above, before remarking:

Did Prophet (pbuh) Spread Islam by Sword?

(By Dr. Aslam Abdullah) The Pope is the most revered figure in the Catholic world, infallible to his followers and, in their eyes, the representative of God on earth. In a 2006 speech, Pope Benedict XVI quoted the 14th-century Byzantine emperor Manuel II Paleologus in his statements attributing the spread of Islam to violence and jihad. The emperor’s statements were made within the political context of his relations with the emerging Ottoman dynasty. They reflect an ignorance of Islam and Islamic history and are not worthy of any credibility. Yet, the Pope chose to quote them.

THE BELIEVER AND PARADISE: JOURNEY INTO THE HEREAFTER – (4)

How those achieving the success of Paradise on account of faith are received therein.

PARADISE

The believers will be ushered on towards the grand eight gates of Paradise. There, they will receive a joyous angelic reception and be congratulated on account of their safe arrival and salvation from Hell.

“But those who feared their Lord will be driven to Paradise in groups until, when they reach it while its gates have been opened and its keepers say, ‘Peace be upon you; you have become pure; so enter it to abide eternally therein.'”
(Quran 39:73)

THE BELIEVER ON JUDGEMENT DAY: JOURNEY INTO THE HEREAFTER – (3)

How the believers will experience the Day of Reckoning, and some of the qualities of the faithful that will ease their passage to the gates of Paradise. The Day of Judgment.

“That Day, a man shall flee from his brother; from his mother and his father; from his wife and his children. For on that Day, every man will have enough to make him indifferent to others.”
(Quran 80:34-37)

The Hour of Resurrection will be a terrifying, overwhelming event. Yet, despite its trauma, the believer will be ecstatic, just as Prophet Muhammad, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, related from his Lord:

JOURNEY INTO THE HEREAFTER – Part (1)

INTRODUCTION:

An introduction to the concept of the existence of life after death both in Islam, and how it makes our life meaningful; with purpose.

Prophet Muhammad, SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam, related:

“Gabriel came to me and said:
‘O Muhammad (SAWS), live as you wish, for you shall eventually die. Love whom you desire, for you shall eventually depart. Do what you please, for you shall pay. Know that the night-prayer[1] is the honor of a believer, and his pride is being independant on others.’”
[Silsilah al-Saheehah]

THE HARDNESS OF HEART

The hard heart is that which contains a mixture of harshness and toughness; a heart that is void of submission and the sense of turning to Allah The Exalted in repentance at all times. This is the severest punishment ever. This is why the disbelievers are punished with having a hard and harsh heart.

Maalik ibn Deenaar, May Allah Have mercy upon him, said in this regard:

“Allah The Almighty Punishes the wrongdoers in their hearts and bodies as well. They are punished with a hard and miserable life and laziness and indolence in carrying out acts of worship.

THE DISTRESS CALL WITHIN THE BODY

Allah’s Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said:

“You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind to each other, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body complains, the whole body shares (Tada’a[1]) the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever along with it.”[2]

THE SCIENTIFIC FACT:

PARENTS IN ISLAM

Among all the human relations Islam exalts the rank of parents above all relations. Parents accept us for who we are, and nothing can ever repay that but, to be grateful to them in every condition and every moment.Quran says in Surah Luqman:

“And We have enjoined upon man [care] for his parents. His mother carried him, [increasing her] in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years. Be grateful to Me and to your parents; to Me is the [final] destination.”
(31:14)

“Gain the pleasure of Allah through worship.

Gain the pleasure of Allah’s Messenger through following his sunnah.

Gain the pleasure of his creation by serving them.”

“The heart of a Muslim can only be washed with the water of tears.”

SALAAH: A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

TAQWA – Fearing Allah and to avoid sinning

Taqwa is an arabic word that literally means to “to protect oneself” or “be wary” of something or someone. Taqwah is to avoid the sins and establish one’s self in such a way that they fear Allah and so, submit their will to Allah.

“O you who believe! fear Allah as He should be feared and die not except in a state of Islam.”
(Surat ‘Āli `Imrān 3:102)

Taqwa has a lot of importance in Islam that is why it is mentioned in numerous places in the Holy Quran and hadith.

Taqwa is to follow the path of righteousness. Allah says in the Quran:

ISLAM!!!

SURRENDER: This is understood from a verse in the Holy Quran – Allah says:

“Inna deena indalahil-Islam.” (Certainly, the only acceptable way which Allah will accept is Islam). [Holy Quran 3:19]

SUBMISSION:

This submission requires a fully conscious and willing effort to submit to the one Almighty God.

“But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (Muhammad, peace be upon him) as a judge in all disputes between them, and find no resistance against your decisions, and accept (the decisions) with full submission.”
[Holy Quran 4:65]

THE MUSLIM IS MERCIFUL

The Muslim is merciful, for mercy is one of the traits of a Muslim, since it is the source of a pure soul and spirit. By being kind, doing righteous deeds, staying away from evil, and shunning corruption, the Muslim’s soul abides in purity and his spirit remains in goodness. Since this is the case, then mercy would never separate from his heart at all. It is for this reason that the Muslim loves mercy, he spreads and encourages it and calls others to it, believing in Allah’s saying:

Smile to make your children happy

Lines from the diary of a child speaking about his happy childhood,”My father was always cheerful and his smile never left his face, even in the most difficult situations. This smile meant a great deal to us as it revealed how much our father loves us. This smile used to force us to behave properly and avoid mistakes so as not to anger our father and miss his smile even for a second.

My father’s smile was the source of our psychological balance. It provided us with warmth, confidence, frankness and courage in the face of hardships. May Allaah reward him with the best.”

WEDDINGS AS A PART OF THE PROPHET’S (SAWS) TRADITION

When you are invited to a wedding, it is fine to join the celebration unless there are prohibited acts being performed. Attending a wedding is part of the Sunnah of our Beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam), as Islam regards marriage as an act of adoration and obedience to Allah. Islam approves performing marriage’s bond in the mosque.

Muslim jurists specified that this is based on a Hadith reported by Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Maja:‘Publicize the marriage, execute it at the mosques and celebrate it with drums.’

THE BENEFITS OF ISTAGHFAAR (ASKING FOR ALLAH’S FORGIVENESS)

The immense benefits of Istaghfar include:

1. Receive Forgiveness:The most important benefit of istaghfar is to receive forgiveness for the sins, mistakes and the bad deeds that a man commits.

If one begs for mercy and forgiveness whole heartedly then Allah Taal’ah forgives them and then you might even get an incentive for making this kind of Salah.

Rights of married women in Islam

Marriage and Women In Islam:
The sacred bond of matrimony has granted women many rights in Islam. Quran has held the bond of marriage in the highest regard and in Surat Ar-Rum, Allah says:

“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.”

ISLAM AS A RELIGION OF HUMAN DIGNITY AND HONOR

Islam is a religion that aims to ascertain, uplift and sustain the honor and dignity of man. In Islam, man is God’s vicegerent on earth. Every terrestrial component has been created for the purpose of accommodating and facilitating the fulfillment of man’s noble mission of vicegerency. Man resides in the center of Islam’s universe. As such, the creation of man stood for the last segment in a long formative process of creation during which everything that there is came into existence. It signified the pinnacle of God’s act of universe creation that went through six stages.

MOTHER!!!

Ansar Al-‘Adl

This is one of the most convincing things about Islam – the treatment of women in general and especially the high position mothers hold in Islam.Amongst the clearest examples of Islam’s honoring women is the great status of the mother in Islam. Islam commands kindness, respect and obedience to parents and specifically emphasizes and gives preference to the mother as shall be shown in this article. Islam raises parents to a status greater than that found in any other religion or ideology.

The command to be good to one’s parents begins right from the Qur’an. Allah says:
