Mumbai, June 14: Bollywood beauty Manisha Koirala will tie the knot with Samrat Dahal, a businessman seven years her junior, in a gala traditional ceremony on June 18.

The wedding will take place at the luxurious Gokarna Forest Resort in eastern Kathmandu and the guest list includes the who’s of both Nepal and India, said family sources.

The 40-year-old actress, the grand daughter of Nepal’s first elected Prime Minister Bishweshwor Prasad Koirala and niece of democratic leader Girija Prasad Koirala, will also throw a lavish party two days later at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza.

Mumbai, June 13: Actor Abhishek Bachchan, who hopped to seven locations across the city to promote Mani Ratnam’s “Raavan”, was overwhelmed to see fans going crazy for him and said he never knew that so many people know him.

“I like to promote my films myself. I want to go out to the audience and tell them about the film directly. It’s a good fun. I was shocked by people’s response. I never knew that so many people know me. Honestly. I was shocked to see so many people showed up,” said Abhishek at a press conference at Cinemax Versova after a day-long tour Saturday.

Mumbai, June 14: Two years after “Slumdog Millionaire” created history at the Oscars, child artists from a Mumbai slum area Azharuddin Mohammed Shaikh and Rubina Ali Qureshi have been roped in a Hollywood flick.

Shaikh and Rubina will each be paid 1,000 pounds on a daily basis for 20-25 days of shooting, their contract said.

The film, “Lord Owen’s Lady”, is being produced by Dragons Productions (Wales) Ltd, based in London and Cardiff, Rubina’s publicist and agent Dinesh Dubey said.
