New Delhi, July 06: Director-comedian Sajid Khan promises to be fun on “India’s Got Talent” rather than cry like acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur whom he has replaced as a judge on the second season of the talent hunt show.

“I can’t cry like Shekhar Kapur. I don’t cry so easily. What immensely touches me and moves me is cruelty against children and elder people. That is something I am sensitive about, I don’t cry otherwise,” Sajid said, while in the capital to promote the show.

SIFAA plans to blacklist Asin

Mumbai, July 06: Actress Asin, who was in Colombo for the shooting of the Bollywood film Ready, has irked the bosses of South Indian Film Artistes Association (SIFAA).

Now, several Tamil associations are gunning for the actress for travelling to Sri Lanka by bypassing the Tamil sentiments.

The secretary of Nadigar Sangam, Radha Ravi has said that he is in discussion with several organization.

And action will be taken in coming days. The SIFAA is planning to blacklist Asin. Earlier, SIFAA took a firm stand and urged to boycott IFAA Awards.

No more selling music on Internet: Prince

London, July 06: Pop superstar Prince is adamant he will never sell his songs on the Internet, insisting web-based outlets will soon disappear because they are no longer “hip”.

The “Purple Rain” hitmaker has long battled to keep his music offline – in 2007 he sued video sharing website YouTube.com as well as eBay.com claiming they “are clearly able (to) filter porn and paedophile material but appear to choose not to filter out the unauthorised music and film content which is core to their business success”.

Margo Stilley quits Madonna’s film

London, July 06: Actress Margo Stilley has quit work on Madonna’s upcoming film “W.E.” over “artistic differences”.

“I had the role, but we had artistic differences. She (Madonna) is really something. I wish the cast luck because they are all really talented,” dailystar.co.uk quoted her as saying.

Stilley had signed up to play Lady Thelma Furness in the movie which tells the story of King Edward VIII, who abdicated the throne after falling in love with American divorcee Wallis Simpson.

Mumbai, July 06: Actor-filmmaker Anil Kapoor is happy to see that women are finally getting their due in male-dominated Bollywood. And one girl in particular is making him proud – younger daughter Rhea who has just wrapped up her maiden production venture “Aisha”.

“I have always believed in different qualities between men and women; I have always found women superior to men. I am not saying it for the sake of it. If you see, my children have grown up so well, that’s because of their mother and because of me,” Anil, 49, told IANS in an interview.

Shabana recovering, will be discharged soon: Javed Akhtar

Mumbai, July 05: Actress and activist Shabana Azmi, who was admitted to Jaslok hospital after she complained of pain below her left ear, will be discharged from hospital in two days, says husband Javed Akhtar.

“She was suffering from acute pain under her left ear. Now she is all right. She is in the hospital. They have controlled the pain, but she still has fever because of the pain. I think by today or tomorrow she will be discharged,” Akhtar told IANS.

The the 54-year-old was admitted Wednesday.

Asin says going to Sri Lanka no sin

New Delhi, July 05: South Indian superstar Asin, who has been struggling to make a mark in Bollywood, has reacted strongly against the call to ban her films in Tamil Nadu.

The ban was called by the South Indian Film Artistes Association, as a major portion of Asin’s new film opposite Salman Khan, titled Ready, is being shot in Sri Lanka. The association had demanded a boycott on any Indian cultural activity in Lanka, saying the Tamils had been persecuted for years in that country. Asin is already in Lanka for the shoot.
