Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were spotted promoting their upcoming film ‘2 States’ at Korum Mall in Mumbai.

The ‘Gunday’ star urged his fans to watch his rom-com film and said, “Please make sure that all of you will go and watch ‘2 States’ on 18th April. Please give ‘ 2 States’ all the love you have in your heart”.

The film, which is directed by Abhishek Varman and is based on the novel of the same name written by Chetan Bhagat , is set to release on 18th April 2014. (ANI)

Bollywood actor Prem Chopra, who made his mark as a popular villain in the 60s and 70s says he is happy playing the baddie on-screen.

“I was honest and hard working actor. I am happy with the kind of work I have done. I have no regrets. I am happy being a villain,” Chopra said on the launch of the book written on him by daughter Rakita.

On the occasion, the 78-year-old screen legend even spoke his eternal dialogue `Prem naam hai mera… Prem Chopra`, which is also the title the book.

Amitabh Bachchan, who recently appeared on Disney Channel’s ‘Captain Tiao’, joked that he was afraid of the show host Sadhil Kapoor.

The Disney Channel reported that the ‘Bhootnath Returns’ actor told the young host that he was scared of his plethora of questions and also the avatar he dons as ‘Captain Tiao’.

The 8-year-old host also tried to convince the 71-year-old actor to adopt him to which the actor was hesitant at first and then told him to consider how his parents would feel. (ANI)

Actress Alia Bhatt, who has been often linked to her co-stars including Arjun Kapoor of ‘2 States’, says she is very much single.

Alia, 21, was also romantically linked to her ‘Student of the Year’ co-star Varun Dhawan.

The newbie insists she has still not found the man whom she would want to be in a relationship with.

“The most important qualities I want in my man is that he should be loyal and honest. Coming from a family in which everyone has strong opinions, I don’t want a guy who will push me down,” Alia said.

Actress Tanishaa Mukherji, who was last seen on reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’, will be seen judging a comedy show soon.

Tanishaa, 36, recently hogged limelight for her friendship with controversial co-contestant Armaan Kohli in the hit reality show. And now she will be judging ‘Gangs of Hasseepur’ with TV star Mandira Bedi.

Actor-producer Abhishek Bachchan, who recently announced his association with the Jaipur franchise of Pro-Kabaddi, a professional kabaddi league, has expressed interest in producing a movie around sports.

“It’s my dream to produce sports-based film. In India, we have not done justice to the sports genre (of films). The US is doing a great job by promoting sports through their films. I would love to produce a film based on sports,” Abhishek told IANS.

Actress Aalia Bhatt today said she dreams of acting in a movie directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt.

“It is my dream to work in a film directed by my papa (Mahesh Bhatt) but he is not directing any film these days and therefore, I feel, I have to look for some other dream,” Aalia told reporters.

Answering a question, the actor said she did not debut in a movie directed by her father in order to prove that she is capable of acting and is a hard worker.

“Otherwise people would have said that she is not hard working,” Aalia said.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has arrived in Poland to shoot the climax of his upcoming movie “Kick”. The film is said to have many daring scenes.

Bollywood film “Main Tera Hero”, directed by David Dhawan, has collected a whopping Rs.38.48 crore in its first week.

The movie released April 4 in Indian theatres and has managed to mint over Rs.35 crore, said a statement.

Filmmaker-producer Tigmanshu Dhulia, who is now busy promoting “Revolver Rani”, says its a complete B grade entertainment.

“I have seen ‘Revolver Rani’ three to four times during editing and whenever I see it, I find something new in it. Yeh ek classic ki nishaai hai (It is a sign of a classic). Its a B grade entertainment… everybody will like it.

Actress Kangna Ranaut, who will be seen in a bold performance in “Revolver Rani”, says nobody will marry her after watching this film.

“Nobody is going to marry me after watching this film… I can give it to you in writing,” Kangna told reporters during the press conference for the film.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan, who is now busy promoting the ancient sport of kabaddi, says Indian sportswomen are not given their due credit.

“I personally feel that Indian women in sports are not given due credit. This is a small step and I am sure our agenda is also to promote women players in India,” Abhishek told reporters during the press conference of Pro Kabaddi.

Abhishek is the owner of Pro Kabaddi’s Jaipur franchise and plans to take the opportunity to promote this Indian sport.

Actress Deepika Padukone gave evasive answers today after she was asked about whether she would team up with Ranveer Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

“I will let you all know (about the project). You all will know soon,” Deepika said at an event here.

Incidentally, Karan Johar wanted to cast Ranveer and Deepika in his movie ‘Shuddhi’ but Ranveer chose to do ‘Bajirao Mastani’ over ‘Shuddhi’.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has bought the Jaipur franchise of the proposed IPL-style Pro Kabbadi League to be held in the country in July-August for an undisclosed sum.

The league, a joint initiative of industrialist Anand Mahindra and sports commentator Charu Sharma through their firm Mashal Sports, would feature eight city-based franchises who would play on home and away basis.

Actress Jaya Bachchan, who has turned 66, spent her birthday with her children and grandchildren. She says she couldn’t have hoped for a “better gift”.

Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is busy giving finishing touches to the soundtrack of Hollywood film “Million Dollar Arm”. He says the album has collaborations with Indian and international artists.

“Have been busy finishing the soundtrack album of ‘Million Dollar Arm’. It features collaborations with Iggy, Kendrick Lamar (in the movie only), KT Tunstall, Sukhwinder Singh, Raghav Mathur,” Rahman posted on his Facebook page.

The album even has a surprise Tamil song from the composer’s 1990s collection, during the end credits.

Actress Soha Ali Khan, who is spreading awareness about voting, says if you don’t vote, you don’t have the right to complain.

As a part of “Hero MTV Rock the Vote” campaign, t-shirts with imagery and text that encourage people to vote were launched here at PUMA store Wednesday and Soha graced the occasion.

“It’s a wonderful initiative and I expect highest turnout this year. I think this is the time to make the difference. Today’s youth are much more aware of politics and are well educated. I believe we can have a great future as each and every vote counts,” Soha told IANS.

After impressing critics with his performance in “Jal”, Purab Kohli is now likely to waltz into the new season of popular dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa”.

Names of various celebrities are being tossed around as possible contestants in the new season, but Purab is said to have given a nod to his participation for the show’s seventh edition.

While Purab remained unavailable for comment, sources close to the actor confirmed that the deal was signed earlier this week.
