Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt promote ‘2 States’ in Mumbai

Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were spotted promoting their upcoming film ‘2 States’ at Korum Mall in Mumbai.

The ‘Gunday’ star urged his fans to watch his rom-com film and said, “Please make sure that all of you will go and watch ‘2 States’ on 18th April. Please give ‘ 2 States’ all the love you have in your heart”.

The film, which is directed by Abhishek Varman and is based on the novel of the same name written by Chetan Bhagat , is set to release on 18th April 2014. (ANI)

I am happy being a villain, says Prem Chopra

Bollywood actor Prem Chopra, who made his mark as a popular villain in the 60s and 70s says he is happy playing the baddie on-screen.

“I was honest and hard working actor. I am happy with the kind of work I have done. I have no regrets. I am happy being a villain,” Chopra said on the launch of the book written on him by daughter Rakita.

On the occasion, the 78-year-old screen legend even spoke his eternal dialogue `Prem naam hai mera… Prem Chopra`, which is also the title the book.

Big B jokes he is scared of `Captain Tiao` host Sadhil Kapoor

Amitabh Bachchan, who recently appeared on Disney Channel’s ‘Captain Tiao’, joked that he was afraid of the show host Sadhil Kapoor.

The Disney Channel reported that the ‘Bhootnath Returns’ actor told the young host that he was scared of his plethora of questions and also the avatar he dons as ‘Captain Tiao’.

The 8-year-old host also tried to convince the 71-year-old actor to adopt him to which the actor was hesitant at first and then told him to consider how his parents would feel. (ANI)

I am very much single, says Alia Bhatt

Actress Alia Bhatt, who has been often linked to her co-stars including Arjun Kapoor of ‘2 States’, says she is very much single.

Alia, 21, was also romantically linked to her ‘Student of the Year’ co-star Varun Dhawan.

The newbie insists she has still not found the man whom she would want to be in a relationship with.

“The most important qualities I want in my man is that he should be loyal and honest. Coming from a family in which everyone has strong opinions, I don’t want a guy who will push me down,” Alia said.

Tanishaa to judge comedy show

Actress Tanishaa Mukherji, who was last seen on reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’, will be seen judging a comedy show soon.

Tanishaa, 36, recently hogged limelight for her friendship with controversial co-contestant Armaan Kohli in the hit reality show. And now she will be judging ‘Gangs of Hasseepur’ with TV star Mandira Bedi.

Popular actress Ragini Khanna will be anchoring the show in which contestants (comedians) will come and perform gags that touch a social issue in either solo or group acts.

It’s my dream to produce sports-based film: Abhishek Bachchan

Actor-producer Abhishek Bachchan, who recently announced his association with the Jaipur franchise of Pro-Kabaddi, a professional kabaddi league, has expressed interest in producing a movie around sports.

“It’s my dream to produce sports-based film. In India, we have not done justice to the sports genre (of films). The US is doing a great job by promoting sports through their films. I would love to produce a film based on sports,” Abhishek told IANS.

The actor and his megastar father Amitabh Bachchan are big sports buffs, and they love football as well as cricket.

Sunny Leone doesn’t regret her past

Actress Sunny Leone, who is riding high on the success of her latest Bollywood project “Ragini MMS 2”, says she doesn’t look back with regret at her past as an adult film star.

“As far as my career goes I don’t regret anything that I have done. I believe that everything that I have done has led me to today,” Sunny told reporters here Friday at the unveiling of the cover page of Mandate magazine, featuring her.

Bollywood film “Main Tera Hero”, directed by David Dhawan, has collected a whopping Rs.38.48 crore in its first week.

The movie released April 4 in Indian theatres and has managed to mint over Rs.35 crore, said a statement.

Featuring actors Varun Dhawan, Ileana D’cruz and Nargis Fakhri, the movie is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures.

Actress Esha Deol reached Mathura today to campaign for her mother and BJP candidate from the constituency Hema Malini.

Esha will canvass along with her mother tomorrow in Govardhan area of the Lok Sabha seat, local BJP leader DP Goyal said.

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has bought the Jaipur franchise of the proposed IPL-style Pro Kabbadi League to be held in the country in July-August for an undisclosed sum.

Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman is busy giving finishing touches to the soundtrack of Hollywood film “Million Dollar Arm”. He says the album has collaborations with Indian and international artists.

“Have been busy finishing the soundtrack album of ‘Million Dollar Arm’. It features collaborations with Iggy, Kendrick Lamar (in the movie only), KT Tunstall, Sukhwinder Singh, Raghav Mathur,” Rahman posted on his Facebook page.

The album even has a surprise Tamil song from the composer’s 1990s collection, during the end credits.

Actress Soha Ali Khan, who is spreading awareness about voting, says if you don’t vote, you don’t have the right to complain.
