Zumba enthusiasts spread Breast Cancer Awareness in Delhi

New Delhi : Breast Cancer is a very sensitive issue in India and people need to be aware about it and keeping in mind the same, some of the Zumba enthusiasts gathered to spread awareness about it.

In an exclusive interview to ANI, Cancer survivor and Zumba Fitness enthusiast Reva Kumar said that there is nothing surviving about it, it’s about living it and cancer is treatable if detected on time.

Reva, who lived with cancer for nine months, added, “It is very important for women’s, who look more after for their families, to give more time to themselves and should go for regular checkups. Cancer cannot get worse then diabetes and heart situations those are life time continuing.”

Urging women to go for regular examinations, Dr. Pooja Jain, who has been doing Zumba for last two years, said that self breast examination should be done by every woman.

“Annually after 35 years of age women should go for checkup and mammography should been done after 40 years of age annually”, added Pooja.

More than four hundred people along with licensed Zumba Fitness instructors recently gathered to attend ‘A Party in Pink’ zumbathon event held at a posh mall in New Delhi.
