Amritsar: An 18-year-old youth, who had been arrested in connection with snatching incidents, today allegedly committed suicide in a police station here, police said.
Tikka, a resident of Maqboolpur area, committed suicide by hanging himself this evening in the solitary cell of Vallah police station where he was being held, a senior police official said.
A high-level enquiry has been ordered to bring out the reasons and circumstances which led Tikka to take extreme step, the official said.
