Bahraich: A 20-year-old youth has been booked for allegedly sharing objectionable pictures of God and Goddess on mobile messaging app, police said on Saturday.
Several organisations of a community on Friday lodged protest against a youth for allegedly sharing objectionable meassage on a whatsapp group, Superintendent of Police, Saligram Verma said.
The youth, a resident of Kayastha tola area under Kotwali Nanpara police station area, has been booked under relevant sections, he said, adding efforts were on to nab him.
The SP warned that no one will be allowed to damage peace and communal harmony in the district.
