New Delhi: About 70 sailors from Gujarat have been stranded in crisis-hit Yemen for over 15 days and have appealed to the Indian government to rescue them.
This report came in days after six Indians were killed when their boat was hit in the Saudi-led air strikes in the conflict-affected country.
Our Mission in Yemen (Camp Office in Djibouti) is aware of the situation and taking steps to ensure safe evacuation of Indians,” External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said when asked about the action being taken to rescue the Indians. (ANI)
