Yasir Arafat disappointed by PSL omission

Karachi : Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat has expressed his disappointment after being dropped from the first edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), saying that it is a massive let down that the player of high calibre like him is ignored from a local tournament.

Describing him as a ‘Twenty20 specialist’, Arafat said that it was shocking that he didn’t manage to find place in his own league despite having proven record in the shortest-format of the game.

Arafat stressed that he was playing this format of cricket from last ten years, maintaining that he had even played in all the top leagues around the globe, PakPassion.net reported.

Expressing his views on the PSL’s future, the all-rounder, however, said the upcoming Twenty20 league would help in nurturing young players at the highest standards possible.

The PSL is slated to be held in the United Arab Emirates from February 4 to February 23. (ANI)
