Women in Congress got tickets by going ‘shirtless’: CPI (M) leader Cherian Philip

Thiruvananthapuram: Cherian Philip, CPI(M) leader claimed that women in congress got party tickets by going “shirtless” secretly.

Philip, former Congress leader and close aide of Congress leader A.K. Anthony, in a Facebook post commenting on the ‘shirtless’ protest taken out by some youth Congress activists made this remark against women in Congress.

He said that the protest by the youth Congress workers is not new it had been earlier carried out by some women in Congress secretly to get tickets.

However, later, Philip in another Facebook post said that the comment was neither ‘anti-women’ nor to insult any women rather to show the exploitation of women by men.
