Hyderabad: A 32-year-old woman was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) with sizable quantity of drugs hidden in her stomach and other body parts at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, customs department officials said here today.
“The woman had hidden some packets of narcotics in her body. She was sent to Osmania Hospital for surgical removal of narcotic substances sealed in sachets. Some quantity has been removed,” they said.
She was sent to a government hospital after airport customs sleuths identified narcotics concealed in her body after she landed here yesterday, officials said.
A senior customs department official confirmed the development and said that the woman had arrived from Dubai.
He said that the substance removed from her body has been sent to the laboratory for identification.
