Will quit politics if irregularities in Water Grid are proved: KTR

Panchayat Raj Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Monday challenged the Congress leaders to prove the allegations of irregularities in Water Grid project.

Speaking after inaugurating the Water Grid pylon at Medagam of Devalapur mandal of Adialbad district, KTR condemned the allegations being levelled against him by the Congress leaders. Without naming TPCC Chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, he said one senior Congress leader have accused him of indulging in irregularities in the Water Grid project. He said he would quit politics if the Congress leaders prove a single allegation against him.

KTR said that the TRS leaders do not indulge in corruption like Congress leaders who started projects to benefit contractors. He said Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has given him the portfolio of Panchayat Raj with great confidence and he would strive hard to keep up the confidence. (INN)
