Will give befitting reply to Pakistan’s infiltration, terrorism bids, says Govt

New Delhi, Oct. 5 : Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Prime Minister’s Office Jitendra Singh on Monday said India would give a befitting reply to Pakistan’s attempt to infiltrate into Indian territory and spread terrorism.

His response came after four army jawans were killed in an ongoing battle between security forces and terrorists in the Handwara Sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara District.

Hailing the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government’s efforts in dealing with infiltration bids and terrorism, Singh said, “People living along the Indo-Pak border are satisfied with the action taken by the present government against any such attempts made from other side of the border. This has enhanced the morale of the people that Narendra Modi-led government is capable of providing them security and safety.”

The encounter between the security forces and terrorists broke out in the Rajwar Area late on Sunday evening. The operation to flush out the terrorists from the Hafruda Forest Area is still underway.

Earlier, a terrorist was liquidated in another encounter in Lolab Area of Handwara Sector. (ANI)
