Seoul: For the first time a woman is charged with marital rape. On Tuesday, a South Korean Court punished a woman who was charged of forcing her husband to have sex with her.
Sources revealed that a 40-year-old woman, Shim, committed the crime by locking her husband inside their home to obtain evidence which she needed for the divorce.
According to the Seoul Central Prosecutors’ Office, Shim locked her husband inside their home for 29 hours and forced him to have sex with her.
Earlier, in May 2013 Supreme Court of South Korea recognized marital rape as a crime.
