Wenger admits Koscielny, Giroud `deeply affected` by Paris attacks

London, Nov.20 : Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that some of his players are still shocked by the deadly Paris attacks and, therefore, he needs to hold talks with them in order to know their state of mind ahead of their Premier League clash against West Brom.
Wenger said he would talk to defender Laurent Koscielny, who represented France against Germany in a friendly when the attacks took place, and would only include him in the playing squad if he has completely recovered from the shock and regained his focus, Dailystar reported.

The 66-year-old also revealed that Koscielny was in tears while singing the national anthem during his country’s friendly match against England at Wembley on Tuesday.

Expressing his views on France’s striker Olivier Giroud, who was also seen visibly shaken by the devastating terrorist attacks, Wenger said that he completely understand his situation, but added that he needs to focus on something else in order to overcome it.

At least 129 innocent people have lost their life in a string of deadly attacks that rocked the French capital on last Friday. (ANI)
