Arun Kumar Jha, IEC, Commissioner& Chief Executive officer, Khadi & Village Industries Commission (Ministry of MSME, Government of India), Mumbai has advised all the institutions to request concerned state Governments to issue an order to all their employees to wear Khadi at least once in a week.
During his visit in Hyderabad he conducted a meeting with the representatives of Khadi institutions of KVIC & KVIB of Andhra Pradesh & Telangana states. During the meeting, he requested the institutions to double Khadi production and new design may be invented to boost of the sales of Khadi. He also suggested forming a Khadi Federation to strengthen Khadi sector.
“The institutions have to take all efforts for getting loan from banks under interest subsidy scheme of KVIC for producing more Khadi products. Dr. M.A. Khuddus, State Director, A.P, R.K Choudary, State Director, Telangana State was also present at the meeting. (NSS)
