Stating that the formation of Telangana State was only possible with the Singareni Collaries’ workers strike, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has now  forgot the assurances given during the elections to Singareni workers.

Addressing the First Executive Meeting of Singareni Collaries Staff and Workers here on Sunday, Uttam alleged that the Chief Minister was playing games with the contract workers without making their jobs permanent. Assuring that the Congress party would extend its support to the Singareni workers, Uttam said that the Congress party would bring the problems of the Singareni workers to the notice of government in the coming monsoon Assembly session.

Alleging that the Chief Minister was wasting crores of rupees of public money, TPCC Chief pointed out that KCR and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi were neglecting the welfare of the workers in the sate and centre level. He lamented that the KCR government was not  taking note  of  suicide of about  1000 farmers’ in the state. (NSS)
