Water Board App to receive civic complaints

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has decided to felicitate registering of grievances like potholes on the roads, missing drainage manhole cover, missing storm water drain cover through HMWS&SB consumer mobile APP on Android platform.

To avail this facility, GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy has appealed all the citizens to download the HMWS&SB Mobile APP from Google Play store by searching HMWS&SB name and select HMWS&SB consumer services APP.

The Commissioner said that the Register of Complaint through a mobile APP requires one time enrollment of Mobile No, Name and Address. A onetime pass word (OTP) is sent to the mobile number for authentication and after successful login citizens can register above grievances. To Register Grievances citizens have to capture the photograph of (a) pot Holes on the Roads, (b) Missing Drainage Manhole Cover, (c) Missing Storm water drain cover in the APP. A complaint number will be generated for the grievances and an SMS will be sent to the citizens intimating the grievances captured. Simultaneously a SMS will also be sent to the Concerned Engineer based on the GPS location coordinates captured with the photo.

Dr. Janardhan Reddy further stated that a mobile APP has been provided to all the concerned GHMC Engineers to download the Grievances along with the photos for the Redressal. Once the grievance is redressed, the same will be updated in the APP along with the photo and the same will be intimated to the Citizens via SMS. This will come into operation from December 28. (INN)
