Warangal By-Polls: Congress to finalise candidate in two-three days

AICC General Secretary and Incharge of Telangana Congress affairs Digvijay Singh on Thursday said that the candidate for Warangal by-polls would be announced in two-three days time.

Speaking to media persons after holding a meeting with TPCC leaders at Gandhi Bhavan here, Digvijay Singh said that the candidate would be selected with consensus. Earlier, Digvijay Singh held a meeting with the leaders from Warangal district. Those who attended the meeting include mandal presidents and heads of all frontal organisations in the district. TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Working President Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Opposition Leaders K. Jana Reddy (Assembly) and Mohammed Ali Shabbir (Council) were among those who participated in the meeting.

Digvijay Singh gathered views on the candidature of G. Vivek, S. Rajaiah and Sarve Satyanarayana. A majority of leaders favoured the selection of Vivek as the party candidate. (INN)
