Waqf Board seeks clarification on cutting of trees in Hajj House premises

Waqf Board has sought clarification from Telangana Hajj Committee on the issue of cutting of two old trees in Hajj House premises. Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah sent a letter to Executive Officer Hajj Committee in this connection. The letter sent on August 28 complained that two old trees were cut late at night on August 21 on the pretext of Hajj camp arrangements.

CEO told that a worker of Hajj Committee and Maintenance contractor carried out this action and illegally shifted the wood obtained from it. It was stated in the letter that cutting of trees was illegal as per the law of forest department. Special Officer Telangana Hajj Committee directed Chief Executive Officer to seek clarification from Hajj Committee.
