Walsh seeks next `Windies` great in squad against Australia

Melbourne, Dec.6 : Fast-bowling legend Courtney Walsh has refused to reveal the names of the West Indies players who have the qualities to make it to the list of legends, but admitted they are among the ones in the current squad for the upcoming Test series against Australia.

The 53-year-old great, however, advised the players to stay focused in order to reach the target and contribute to the side, News.com.au reported.

Expressing views on his side’s upcoming tour to Australia, tour selector Walsh said that each of the players have a big role to play in the forthcoming series.

He asserted that the management would also try their best to encourage the young players.

West Indies, which is currently in a declining phase, had last claimed a Test victory in Australia in 1997 and will aim to improve that record when they take on second-ranked Australia in the first Test of the three-match series, starting in Hobart on Thursday. (ANI)
