Congress senior leader and former MP G. Vivek on Sunday denied reports which indicated that he might be re-joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
Speaking to media persons, Vivek said there was no question of him leaving the Congress party. He completely dismissed the reports that appeared in a section of media stating that he was planning to join TRS so as to contest the bye-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha seat.
The rumours of Vivek’s re-entry into TRS starting floating after he reportedly met TRS Secretary General K. Keshava Rao on Saturday night. It was reported that Vivek has been offered ticket from Warangal if he re-joins the party. However, Vivek has completely dismissed such reports and described them as mere speculation.
It may be mentioned that during the statehood movement Vivek had joined the TRS for a brief period. However, after the Congress-led UPA Government initiated the process of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, he rejoined the Congress party. (INN)
