Vijayawada: Two private money lenders, Yelamanchily Srirama Murthy and Dudala Rajesh,were arrested by the city police on Sunday. They were held for money-cum-sex scandal.
The two accused used to lend the loans to needy people after obtaining promissory notes and blank cheques from them. If they fail to repay the amount they would blackmail them and sexually exploit the woman borrowers.
A women lodged a complain against the duo following a complaint the Machavaram police, arrested them and it came to know that five more are involved in the racket.
City Police Commissioner D. Gautam Sawang said at a press conference which was held on Sunday that they have raided their office and seized some blank cheques.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu personally made enquires into the money-cum-sex scandal. He collected the details of the case from Home Minister Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa, Director General of Police J. V. Ramudu and other officials. The case in which several private money lenders and political leaders were also involved.
Home Minister Chinnarajappa ordered the investigation officers to book the culprits and not to spare anyone if they were involved in the case. The minister also told the media that. “Government has directed the police to conduct a fair and thorough probe into the scandal and arrest all the accused in the case. I request the victims to register their complaints either with Krishna District Collector Babu. A, or with City Police Commissioner Gautam Sawang.”
