Vietnam slams China for construction of two lighthouses in disputed South China Sea

New York, Oct 14 : Vietnam has slammed China for constructing two lighthouses in the disputed South China Sea, saying that Beijing has violated Hanoi’s sovereignty.

According to ABC News, a completion ceremony was held for the lighthouses on Cuateron Reef and Johnson South Reef in the Spratly islands.

Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Hai Binh said that the construction violated its sovereignty and further escalates tensions.

China has launched a land reclamation project in the South China Sea in past one and a half years, raising concerns in the US and in the region. (ANI)
