Many nursery schools in Hyderabad ignores the safety measures and do not meet the safety standards instructed by authorities.

As per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions Rules, 1993, schools must have safety measures as per the standards of National Building Code for Educational Institutions, and Indian Standards Code but only few schools fulfill it. Norm includes width and rise of corridors, staircases etc. It also includes fire fighting norms.

Child Rights Activists also said that if small children climb or take elevator then their safety is compromised.
