Job Description:


a) Develops department level vision, goals, objectives and budget so as to best support achievement of the overall organization vision

– Monitors performance versus budget so as to ensure cost effective implementation of the MIS plans (By Q4)

– Understands the overall organization vision / goals for the year and the role MIS needs to play in its achievement

– Prepares the goals/objectives and budget for the organization by taking inputs from seniors and juniors, internally and externally

– Rolls out this plan with the department and obtains their buy-in

– Monitors budgets and highlights variances (if any) Sector, function specific seminars / summits, Senior Mgmt, Other HODs Timely definition of goals, Performance versus goals, Actual Cost versus Budget

b) Ensures provision of accurate information and/or MIS to Senior Management so as to facilitate timely and informed decision making

– Defines the number, nature and frequency of reports to be submitted to senior management and obtains their approval

– Ensures timely preparation of these reports through the team

– Checks all reports to ensure accuracy of data

– Ensures overall loan outstanding numbers reconcile with borrower wise loan outstandings

– Presents these reports to senior management and answers any queries

– Ensures any unanswered queries are resolved as soon as possible and communicates the same to senior management Senior Management Timely and accurate preparation

c) Ensures timely and accurate assistance to the Finance department (and to banks directly at times) towards improving their dealings with funding agencies and/or investors

– Defines the number, nature and frequency of reports to be submitted to finance and/or to banks

– Takes permission from senior management for bank reports as and when required

– Ensures timely and accurate preparation of these reports through the team

– Ensures timely submission of these reports by team to finance department/banks

– Ensures timely resolution of any queries from the same

– Works in coordination with finance department for areas like ratings, due diligence audits etc. Finance Department,Banks Timely and accurate preparation and submission

d) Oversees the payroll process to ensure timely payment of salaries and loans to all employees and recovery of default loans

– Takes senior management approval and fixes one specific day for salary disbursement for HO and Field

– For HO Level, conducts random checks on elements like attendance, TDS, advances and staff loan recovery deductions etc.

– Takes feedback from ZMs for any special cases which need to be considered

– Oversees timely payment of the salaries to HO and Field – sends HO Salary data to accounts department to ensure checking of TDS, General Advances etc, For Branches, sent directly

– Ensures timely resolution of any queries from the HO and Field Staff – specially coordination with ZMs

– Collates organizational feedback regarding salary structure and presents to senior management

– Follows up with gaps in loans sanctioned but not disbursed; ensures resolution of issues and disbursal of the same

– Ensures recovery of default loans from staff Senior Management, ZM, All Staff Timely and accurate payment of salary

e) Provides operational and/or strategic support to other departments so as to fulfil their department objectives

– Ensures proper assistance to the IT department in implementing the new platforms

– Ensures proper assistance in getting the borrowers insured ensures submission of new lives covered list to insurance department

– Ensures provision of accrued interest numbers to Accounts department on a quarterly basis IT, Insurance

f) Responsible for recruitment, retention, skill development, growth and satisfaction of team

– Creates a recruitment plan for the department, ensures it is included in the overall Recruitment plan with HR; liaises with HR to ensure recruitment happens as per plan

– Ensures appropriate training and development interventions

– Conducts timely and transparent appraisals

– Conducts monthly 1:1s with direct reports

– Actively manages vertical and horizontal career development of team

– Conducts semi-annual skip level 1:1s with all indirect reports Attrition %, Employee Feedback,

g) Meetings

– Weekly Update meeting with MD

– Monthly review meeting with direct reports

– Quarterly review meeting for all HODs / ZMs

h) Key Decisions Taken in Job :

– List some of the decisions you need to take and recommendations you need to give in order to fulfill your accountability

– Decisions Taken by Role-holder Recommendations made by Role-holder to Superior

– Recruitment till all Asst Mgr Level Employees for MIS department (for approved positions) Annual Budget for department

– Expense approvals till Rs- . for items approved in the budget Recruitment’s above Asst Mgr position

– Salary Fixation till Asst Manager level for MIS department Career Growth and increments for department staff

– Decision on special cases of Field Salaries along with ZM Changes in Field payroll structure
