US extradites murder suspect to Czech Republic

Prague, Aug.31 : Authorities in the Czech Republic have confirmed the arrival of Dahlgren, an American suspected of killing four Czech family members from the United States to face trial.

The murder, according to a report in the NYT, is said to have taken place in Brno City. Czech authorities suspect Dahlgren of killing his aunt, uncle and two cousins in May 2013 and of trying to burn their bodies before returning the the United States.

Dahlgren was detained briefly at Washington Dulles International Airport and then was sent back to the Czech Republic on Monday.

A Brno court will decide if he stays in custody pending his trial.

No hearing date has been set. If convicted,Dahlgren would face up to life in prison. (ANI)
