We seek an experienced .NET developer to build high performing, architecturally sound and scalable systems that align with our business needs over several core & critical technology areas which are a core component of our $1.2B industry leading ecommerce platform. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams located both onsite and offshore. They should be able to partner with business to translate business needs into workable technology solutions. They should be hands-on in all aspects of the SDLC in an agile environment, producing detailed technical work and high-level designs as well as providing task plans to their manager. We seek an engineer with the ability and interest in working on a broad range of different projects and who loves to write and automate code, is excited about building things and is passionate about robust software design
Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Participate with the team and/or work independently as needed during the analysis, design, implementation and support of various FTD E-Commerce systems.
2) Interact closely with business and Senior Engineers/Manager in understanding business processes and proposing technical as well as non-technical solutions for business problems.
3) Learn and automate the solutions developed to provide high quality assurance.
4) Mentor and provide technical leadership to less experienced developers
5) Support and improve the efficiency of the agile development process. Other responsibilities may be assigned based upon business needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
2+ years of software development experience, including all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
Expert in Microsoft .Net languages/technologies including C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MVC
Expert in building web services using WCF/ASMX/REST and good understanding of SOA.
Very strong MS SQL Server development including Stored Procedures, Views, and optimization
Experience in web development preferably ASP.NET using C#, CSS, JavaScript/DHTML and Ajax
Ability to automate technical solutions using Soap UI or C# with Coded UI and MTM is a huge plus
Technically competent with various software programs, such as MS-Office, MS-Visio, MS-Project and TFS / Visual Studio 2005/2010/2012
Knowledge of e-commerce business and fulfillment business processes is a plus
Experience in Agile and/or Iterative development is a huge plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Sharp analytical abilities, problem solving techniques, proven design skills and a track record of delivery
Excellent team player, who takes pride in being accountable, takes ownership and establishes a high level of credibility with others in the organization.
