Ulema Council demands Modi for judicial enquiry on fake encounter of Batla House

Lucknow: A group of Muslim leaders under the banner of Rashtriya Ulema Council (RUC) is planning to meet PM Modi to demand a judicial investigation into the fake encounter of Batla House in 2008.

The council has booked the bogies of Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Express for staging a dharna program at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 19th September to register protest against this encounter. They claimed that the Muslims have suffered a lot during Congress rule and they are hopeful that BJP led Modi government will consider their demands.

Maulana Amir Rashadi, President of the council told that Modi made an announcement that his doors are open for Muslims even at midnight. He further said that the Muslims want to meet him at 12 noon in broad daylight. They proposed to send a letter making a request for an appointment. If they get an opportunity to meet Mr. Modi, they would explain that injustice was done during the Congress regime. Innocent boys were murdered by the Delhi Police in a fake encounter at Batla House, New Delhi. The then Congress Govt. did not agree for judicial probe. Maulana Rashadi was hopeful that Modi would prove to be different from Congress. He wants to wait and see how Modi takes up this issue.
