Udhampur attack: Investigation will take some time, says NIA chief

Guwahati, Aug 8 : National Intelligence Agency (NIA) chief Sharad Kumar on Saturday said that interrogation is going on with the terrorist who was caught in Jammu and Kashmir, adding that it will take some time to get all the information.

“We have started the interrogation and interrogation is a part of investigation,” said Kumar.

He also said that investigation is a long process and it cannot end in just 24 hours.

Earlier, two BSF jawans were martyred in a gun battle where a militant was shot dead. The captured terrorist after the first round of investigation said that he hailed from Faisalabad, Pakistan and had been on Indian soil for the past 12 days.

According to reports, there had been many warnings from the intelligence about a possible terror attack in Udhampur which was a vulnerable spot due to the ongoing Amarnath yatra. (ANI)
