Two students among four commits suicide

Fear of failing exams drove a 20-year-old student to suicide.

According to Musheerabad police, the deceased, H. Prem Sagar, took the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Hari Nagar on Saturday night. He was preparing for the exam of Chartered Account.

In a similar case, Bhagwant Singh, 21, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Mirjalguda in Malkajgiri police limits. He was a studying M.A. second year and was a native of Rajasthan. He was reportedly under depression for the last few days.

In another case, C. Shankar, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Turab Nagar on Saturday night. According to Amberpet police, Shankar was a plumber. He was in depression due to financial problems and also for not having children even after five years of marriage. The same is suspected to have driven to the extreme step.

In a different case, E. Narasamma, 65, succumbed to the burn injuries which she sustained after setting herself ablaze. She resorted to the extreme step at her residence in Srinivas Nagar on November 6 and died at Gandhi Hospital on Saturday night. Ill-health is supected to be the reason for suicide, according to Jagatgirigutta police. (INN)
