Two guerrillas, soldier killed in Kashmir gunfight

Srinagar: Two militants and a soldier were killed in a gunfight between security forces and the guerrillas in Jammu and Kashmirs’ Pulwama district on Monday, police said.
“Two militants and a junior commissioned officer (JCO) of the army were killed in the Drabgam village gunfight that started today (Monday) evening,” a senior police officer told IANS here.
He said personnel of the 44 Rashtriya Rifles and police’s Special Operations Group had surrounded the village on specific information about a group of militants hiding there but as they tightened the cordon, they were fired upon by the militants and retaliated, leading to the gunfight.
